Sichuan Aba Hongyuan: 20 MWp PV plant

Project introduction: The 20 MWp Photovoltaic Project in Hongyuan County, Aba Prefecture is the first photovoltaic project to help the modest local population in Sichuan Province. It is located in the eastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, at an average altitude of 3,560 meters. 

Solution: To ensure the stable operation of the plant and the production capacity in the extreme environments, the solution used is the  centralized. It has a high degree of protection IP54, it is suitable for complex environments of high altitude, extreme cold and others. MPPT control technology is also used, with efficiency over 99%.

Meaning and value: The annual power generation capacity is 26.24 million kWh, and all the proceeds will benefit to the 2,436 low-income people in Hongyuan County. These profits will promote the economic and social development of the Tibetan regions and protect the green mountains and clear waters of the region.
